He has worked successfully with a number of International artists. George is also a winner of a Multi-Platinum Award, having worked with, written for or produced for artists such as Gabrielle, Chaka Khan, Sting.

His music features in TV shows such as Breaking Bad, Desperate Housewives, Law And Order, Top Gear, Monk, The Office (US), IT Crowd, The Mentalist, Dancing With The Stars (US), American Idol and many others.

George McFarlane is a full-hearted and full-blooded musician and music producer from England. Starting with his own record deals with CBS and multiple international hits in the UK and the US, he grew his roots in contemporary rock with a strong network around the globe. 

His first instrument was the bass, when he played in various bands until he joined a CBS-signed act called Grand Hotel in the late 1970s.  His breakthrough then came with The Quick, where as a duo is was writing and producing several international hits during the 1980s.

After a few albums, the band changed the name to Giant Steps. The result was following Top 10 hit in America with a song called Another Lover.  

George focused over the years more on production, programming, arranging and songwriting.

For the last 5 years George has been the studio manager at echo7 recording studio in Surrey. Covering everything from day to day running a busy recording studio, including such activities as liaising with clients, studio bookings, looking after equipment, mac and pro tools maintenance software and updates, as well as engineering and producing totally diverse artists such as rock and metal bands, singer songwriters, voiceover artists and over seeing video shoots.

George plays bass, keyboards, guitar and runs a fully professional Mac based Pro Tools rig at his home studio, working remotely on various projects on a daily basis.
