When did he start making music, releasing music and/or playing shows? 

Josh started drumming and performing in bands as soon as he was aloud to own a pair of sticks, which was about 14 years ago he says. In 2014 he performed on his first E.P for an artist named Will Rowe-Parr, who was based in London. Then in 2015 he joined as the drummer, backing vocalist and co-writer in a country rock band named The Tom Browne Band, from which he gained a lot of his live and studio experience. 

What genre can people expect to hear? 

If you look at his his previous experiences, you would expect to hear Josh perform on anywhere between country records, Rock, Rock and Roll, R&B or in a Jazz setting possibly, but interestingly, the music Josh is currently writing is not at all like the music he was involved in with the past. The music he is writing is far more experimental, and closer to Electronic and Funk. 

Josh has attack, and control on the drums and can adapt his approach dependant upon the setting and to connect with the other musicians around him. He prefers to keep the sound of his drums dry and tunes them lower, giving him a bigger open sound, which he believes is important in a live situation. Tuning also bring a good depth to the overall sound in context to the music he is performing. 

Josh studied with Frank Tonto well known drummer for Brother strut, Toby Drummand current house drummer in Wicked and Pete Riley widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading educators in modern music. 

Gabriel. His grandfather was a major influence had a prosperous career in the 50’s and 60’s performing as a session drummer in a covers bands touring world wide. 

He is now part of a new four piece session band which was formed in the first year of his degree and is currently the session drummer for the up and coming artists, Ida Gray, Will Hanco, Mikey Squire, Komal Srivastava, David Tilling, Tasha Nicholl, Daragh Mcsloy, Kieron Subberwal, Allie Espana Montoya, Florian Brey, Charlotte Ross, Hanna Nygren and Spencer Mitchell.
